Flóra Varga
textile designer
Our textiles tell the story of where we come from, where we are now, and where we are heading to," says Flóra, who studied fashion, textile design, and pedagogy at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. The driving force behind her work is the duality of fashion, where different artistic fields meet: our clothes are as important as they are often neglected. Next to the richness of the history of dress, and the social and cultural aspects, the focus of her work is on people and their stories. Her brand is Gihon, and her collections include patterned garments and home textiles, inspired by textile narratives to create capsule collections for honest, bold, and fun everyday life.
“People are more important than clothes, but clothes are much more than mere fashion items..”
